A Pizza Place Has Given 8,400 Free Slices to Homeless People

About a year ago, someone walked into a pizza place in Philadelphia called Rosa's, and asked if they could pay a dollar extra to buy a slice for a homeless person.

Which was a tiny act of kindness that ended up having a big impact.  Because since then, THOUSANDS of people have done it.

The owner, Mason Wartman, started putting Post-It notes on the wall each time someone donated a slice.  And in the past nine months, more than 8,400 people have paid it forward.

Some homeless people have been coming in almost every day for a slice, and Mason is totally cool with it.

Recently, one of them left a note that said, quote, "I just want to thank everyone that donated to Rosa's.  It gave me a place to eat every day and the opportunity to get back on my feet.  I start a new JOB tomorrow."

Last week, Mason was on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about it, and she gave him a check for $10,000 to help him out.

A Patriots Player Helped Pull a Woman Out of a Wrecked Car on His Way Home After Beating the Colts

On Sunday, the New England Patriots secured a spot in the Super Bowl by crushing the Indianapolis Colts.  But that wasn't the coolest thing Patriots defensive lineman VINCE WILFORK did that day.

When Vince and his wife were driving home, they noticed a Jeep Wrangler rolled onto its side not far from the stadium.  So they pulled over to lend a helping hand.

The police weren't there yet, but Vince noticed the female driver was still trapped inside.  She was a 38-year-old woman named Mary Ellen Brooks.  Vince kept her calm until the police arrived . . . and then he helped them pull her to safety.

Yesterday, Vince very calmly said, quote, "Through football, and the course of life, I've learned to try to stay poised in certain situations.  I'm pretty sure she was kind of scared.  The last thing I wanted to do was have her panic.

"The first thing I told her, I said, 'Don't panic.  I'll get you out of here.'  We got her out, the cops came, and that was about it."  He added that he didn't think she knew who he was . . . and that he didn't think about the car potentially catching on fire.

Check out the video interview here.
