Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has given birth to her second child with ex-husband Daniel Giersch. The actress welcomed a still-unnamed baby girl on Monday night at an LA hospital. It is not known if the baby's father was at the birth; the pair, who filed for divorce last year, have been locked in a bitter custody battle over their three-year-old son Hermes. The star accused her businessman husband of putting Hermes in danger because he did not keep his pool covered, something she learnt after hiring a private detective to secretly film the property. Madonna will be allowed to adopt four-year-old Mercy from Malawi after all. The singer appealed the original decision, which dismissed her case, and three judges have now given her adoption the go-ahead. This will reverse the original verdict, her lawyer Alan Chinula said, and an official ruling will be announced next Sunday at Malawi's Supreme Court of Appeal. The star's application was rejected at first because she had not lived in the African state for 18 months, a ruling that Chinula argued was out of date. The country's Information Minister Patricia Kaliati said that the singer would make a worthy mother. Mercy will now join Madonna's other children, David Banda, Rocco and Lourdes at the star's home in New York. (British Glamour)
On-again off-again couple Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli have called it quits once more, sources confirm to PEOPLE. "They're taking time off for the time being, they've split," says a source close to the actor. "It could just end up as a break but for now they're doing their own thing." That much was certainly apparent over the weekend as the Israeli-born Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, 23, walked the red carpet at Hollywood Life's 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards solo, refusing to speak about DiCaprio, while the Titanic star, 34, hit the hotspot Avenue in New York City, where he was seen chatting with another woman. "He was standing at the bar in front of everyone talking to a girl the entire night – and it wasn't Bar," says one onlooker. "It was in no way behavior for a guy who has a serious girlfriend." According to a Refaeli source, the model's desire to get serious may have caused the actor to have doubts about their relationship. "She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together," the source says, "so he broke it off." A source in Refaeli's circle says DiCaprio "didn't treat her very well, almost like a second-hand girlfriend." (People)
Miley Cyrus has reportedly split from her model man Justin Gaston. The pop sensation posted a cryptic message on her Twitter.com blog last week, which read "my heart is in two... and it’s all because of you," which the teenage singer/actress passed off as "a song I am starting to write," but insiders claim it was a message to fans about her romance. And Cyrus tells UsMagazine.com, "He's (Gaston) got his own thing going on." Meanwhile, in another Twitter.com post, Gaston wrote, "Haven't been this miserable in a looong time." Cyrus has since jetted off to Georgia, where she will shoot new movie The Last Song. (Teen Hollywood)
Bret Michaels may have broken his nose and busted his lip during a scenery-related malfunction at the Tonys on Sunday – but the Poison front man and Rock of Love star left with his sense of humor intact. "He told me, 'All I remember is Shrek and the donkey helping me up, and Liza [Minnelli] giving me a towel,'" says his rep, Joann Mignano. "And Bret was laughing when he heard [Tonys host] Neil Patrick Harris said he gave new meaning to 'head banging.' “Michaels, 46, was hit by a large sign descending from the ceiling as he exited the stage following Poison's performance of "Nothin' But a Good Time" with the Rock of Ages cast, and was tended to by paramedics offstage. He required three stitches to his bloodied lip, and his rep says that X-rays later revealed the rocker fractured his nose. Despite his injuries, she says, "Bret did not walk off the stage angry or in a hissy fit. He was honored to be asked to participate and be amongst Broadway royalty, like Liza and Sir Elton [John]. He did the red carpet, and he was taking pictures with Angela Lansbury backstage. He was so happy to be there." Further Medical Attention Sought During the hours after accident, Michaels continued to suffer neck and back pains, so he told his rep that he was getting a CAT scan to be on the safe side. "His neck was hurt in an accident years ago, so he's being cautious," she says, adding that she does not know the results of his tests yet. "He said he wanted to make sure this was all looked at and taken care of, and I said it was the right thing to do." The rep also refuted a Tonys spokesperson’s account that the rocker "missed his mark." "By all means, he did not miss his mark," says Mignano. "He did exactly what they asked him to do in rehearsal, where everything went fine. And when the sign came down [at the show], it smacked him on the head." For now, the rocker, who's currently on a solo tour, is taking things a day at a time. "He may have to cancel his next show – we'll see," says his rep. "Bret is a tough son of a bitch, but he's really banged up." (People)
As promised, Adam Lambert is clearing up all the speculation about his sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone. "I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert tells the magazine. "I've been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man." While Lambert is proud of his sexuality – "I embrace it," he says. "It's just another part of me" – he's focused on his career. "I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader." Lambert, who says he was worried about coming out on American Idol because it would be "so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing," admits to having a crush on the his roommate and Idol winner Kris Allen. "I was like, 'Oh, s–, they put me with the cute guy,' “Lambert recalls of bunking in the Idol mansion with Allen. "Distracting! He's the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type – except that he has a wife. I mean, he's open-minded and liberal, but he's definitely 100 percent straight." As for the photos of Lambert dressed in drag and kissing other men that popped up online shortly after he made a splash on Idol, he says they're not really representative of who he is. "I've only dressed in drag three or four times," he says. "That's not me." And while he's been spotted out with close friend Drake LaBry, Lambert says he didn't mind the attention he got during Idol from screaming female fans. "I loved it this season when the girls went crazy for me," Lambert admits. "As far as I'm concerned, it's all hot." (People)
Melissa Joan Hart's mother Paula is progressing "quickly" after brain surgery two weeks ago to remove a benign tumor, the actress says. "Every day, she is like a different person," Hart, 33, told PEOPLE at Sunday's A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival in Los Angeles. "It's amazing to see. It's a really fast recovery ... Everything worked out really well." Hart credits her 53-year-old mom's strength with motherhood. "She's had seven kids, six of them with no drugs," says Hart. "She was so tough, and she's such a good healer. It's amazing to see. One day she can't walk, the next day she's running up and down the block." The younger Hart has been busy during the last month, when her mom had the "intense" surgery. She opened a candy store, SweetHarts, and revealed her post-pregnancy weight loss to PEOPLE. "My mother had brain surgery the same day that [PEOPLE cover story] came out," Hart says. "I haven't slept. I can't wait to crash next week. My husband is out of town right now. As soon as he gets back, I'm handing him the kids for a few days. I'm going to hibernate. It was unbelievable how much was going on. It was probably the busiest week of my life." As for Hart's sweet new business, she says candy and ice cream is the perfect guilty pleasure – even if it is not her own. "I'm not much of a sweet person. I do indulge here and there," Hart says. "I like the frozen yogurt. I love to pile on the mango, coconut – and maybe some chocolate sprinkles." (People)
New Orleans blues singer Marva Wright has been hospitalized after a stroke. Relatives said Wright, 61, had just finished her regular gig at the CoCo Club on Bourbon Street early Saturday when paramedics were called because the singer wasn't feeling well and had slurred speech. Wright's daughter, Gerry McKey, said Tuesday her mother remains in the hospital with limited movement on her right side. McKey said her mother has diabetes and high blood pressure and suffered a less severe stroke about three weeks ago. Although Wright made a full recovery from that stroke in just a couple of days, McKey said it is taking her mother longer to recover from this one. "She's progressing," McKey said. "She still doesn't have full function on the right side of her body, but she has feeling. The doctors say she will probably get her movement back." Wright's manager, Adam Shipley, said the singer's June 19 show at Tipitina's night club has been canceled and other cancellations may follow. Wright is slated to perform at the Essence Music Festival over the Fourth of July weekend at the Louisiana Superdome. "We're going to wait and see how she's doing," Shipley said. Wright's band, the BMWs, performed as scheduled at a benefit concert in New Orleans for the American Diabetes Association on Sunday with a substitute singer. Wright is best known for her sultry blues standards, including Heartbreakin' Woman and Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean. She also sings traditional jazz and gospel standards. Wright performs at festivals and special events all over the world. In New Orleans, she's a regular at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and has performed with some of the city's biggest names in music, including Allen Toussaint, Fats Domino and Harry Connick Jr. (Daily Record)

Burberry has announced that Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is the face of their Autumn/Winter 09-10 campaign. The images, shot by acclaimed photographer Mario Testino in Westminster, show the actress in the label's signature trench coat and checked scarf. Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey said: "Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge." You could call Gwyneth Paltrow the poster girl for physical perfection. The Oscar winner, who just shot the sequel to Iron Man, flaunted her gams in a mini dress during an appearance Thursday on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien. The host was smitten and told Paltrow she looked "absolutely gorgeous." She, in turn, gave him workout tips. The woman responsible for Paltrow's attention-grabbing transformation from willowy to wow is her personal trainer, Tracy Anderson — a tiny, spirited bundle of strength with killer abs — who has been Paltrow's sweat-inducing sidekick for three years. Training with Anderson, Paltrow says, "has changed my body completely. I had always been dedicated to exercise, but no matter how hard I worked, I never was able to change the things that bothered me. Her method is so rewarding because, yes, you are working hard, but you know you are getting somewhere. I really never thought that at 36, after two children, I could look better than I ever had." Paltrow and the bi-coastal Anderson — who splits her time between Paltrow and her other A-list client, Madonna — exercise six days a week, two hours a day when Paltrow is shooting a film, and an hour and a half when she's home in London with her kids, Apple, 5, and Moses, 3. The biggest change has been to Paltrow's posterior. Anderson "has totally transformed my bottom. It has always been my hardest, most stubborn area to change, but she literally made me work my butt off." Anderson sounds like a proud mom when she brags about Paltrow's physique: "In the past, she'd had times when she was very, very thin, but never this toned. Her definition is unreal." Anderson has created several proprietary systems, including rubber bands that hang from the ceiling and tone the arms and upper body, as well as parallel metal bars used to perfect the legs and bottom through a blend of cardio ballet. The actress's typical routine changes every 10 days to keep the muscles active and guessing. "I go after knitting the muscles in different ways. We start with the whole-body bands system that I developed," Anderson says. "Then we go to the bars for the legs. We do abs and we dance for 45 minutes at least." Today, Paltrow could probably boogie with the best of them on Dancing With the Stars. But back then? "When I first started working with her, she couldn't dance — at all," Anderson says. "Gwyneth is one of the most intelligent people I know. So motivating her to do something is not the issue. Learning to dance and get that lung capacity and endurance was the hardest part for her. "She (complained) about the cardio. To this day, if she at all has had filming days, she'll always do it, but it's like, 'Ugh, we have to do the cardio.' " To bring their method to the well-heeled masses, Paltrow has partnered with Anderson: They will open a custom gym in Tribeca on Monday. Each of the 600 members gets a customized workout that changes every 10 days. The initiation is $790 to $1,500; monthly membership fees are $900.
But you get what you pay for, Paltrow says. "Tracy has something truly unique and truly brilliant. I wanted to help her bring her method to more people as it has had such a positive effect on my life." (Daily Record)
In a recent interview, Queen Latifah opened up for the first time about being a victim of childhood sexual abuse. The actress mentioned that a teenage babysitter preyed upon her as a child, which manifested into difficulties with her adult relationships. "He violated me," shares Latifah in the new issue of Essence. "I never told anybody. I just buried it as deeply as I could and kept people at an arms length. I never really let a person get too close to me. I could have been married years ago, but I had a commitment issue." (Perez Hilton)
The Stephanie Seymour-Peter Brant divorce got even crazier Saturday night when the supermodel was issued a public-disturbance summons after she yanked the keys out of a Brant-hired security guard's car, threw them in the bushes, and then used her Range Rover to block the driveway of the couple's Greenwich, Conn., estate, Police Lt. Richard Cochran told The Post's Dan Mangan. On Thursday, a Brant guard was busted for allegedly shoving Seymour. Cochran said Seymour since has hired her own guards. Brant's rep, Howard Rubenstein, said Brant, who was in Europe, "was disappointed" by his wife's actions. (Page Six)
Chris Brown, who's been accused of beating up Rihanna, sure seems to need a lot of protection for himself. Brown was spotted at Blade Lounge in Miami's Fontainebleau "surrounded by bodyguards." Our spy said, "He had at least three security people with him at all times." Later that night, he upped his detail to five when he went to Liv nightclub in the same hotel with Khloe Kardashian and Omarion. (Page Six)
Real Housewives of New York's Kelly Bensimon accepted a deal in New York City court Monday over charges that she smacked her 30-year-old beau. As part of her deal, Bensimon, 40, had to admit to hitting Nick Stefanov last March -- but didn't have to plead guilty. The assault charge will be dropped against her if she isn't arrested for another year. She'll also serve two days of community service. Bensimon was also slapped with a yearlong partial order of protection, meaning she'll face tougher penalties if they have another blowout.” I’m very pleased. Justice was served," the former model -- who said she only hit Stefanov because he wouldn't leave her residence -- told the New York Post after the hearing. "I learned that if a man is in your apartment and he won't leave, that you should do absolutely whatever it takes," she continued. "Bad things happen to good people." Bensimon said she was looking forward to putting the incident behind her. "I'm just very grateful" to return to "my awesome career" and "beautiful children. I'm a very lucky woman," she said. Megan Fox desperately wants to buy some weed -- but only if she can get it legally. In a seriously blunt conversation with GQ, the 23-year-old swore that if the U.S. Gub'ment legalized the sticky stuff, she'd be the "first person in line to buy a pack of joints." Fox then added, "I can't tell you how much bulls**t I've been through because I will openly say that I smoke weed." "People look at it like it's this crazy, hippy, f**ked up thing to do. And it's not. I hope they legalize it." Fox then grabbed a bongo, some Funyuns and a hacky sack and took off for the nearest drum circle. (TMZ)
And they said it wouldn't last! Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt just celebrated their six-month anniversary in Chicago. "I took her shopping, and we had a nice dinner and just enjoyed each other," Doug told E! News at the premiere of Simon Rex's new "mockumentary" Rex last night. Paris has a busy summer ahead of her, as she's off to Dubai this week to film yet another version of her My New BFF show. As for whether she's still friends with former bestie Kim Kardashian? "No comment," Doug piped in. "I'll answer that for her." Sounds like a no. The heiress is also hard at work on her line of sunglasses, lingerie, footwear and purses. But it's not all work and no play for Paris. It sounds like Doug's plotting a vacation in a few months. "I have something planned for her in August," he dished. "It'll be fun and relaxing." (Eonline)

You'd think Alan Jackson might want to celebrate two decades in the music business by taking a day off. Instead, the laid-back singer will mark the occasion by performing a free concert. "It's just something we wanted to do," Jackson said recently. "We've got about 50 hits, so it's hard to do them all. We'll try to pick a few that the crowd might like." Jackson normally plays arenas, but he'll sing Wednesday at a club called Cadillac Ranch in the city's honky-tonk district. The show comes as thousands of country fans pile into Nashville for the Country Music Association's annual festival, which opens Thursday and runs through Sunday. This year's lineup includes Trace Adkins, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire and many more. Jackson's show is sure to stir up old memories for the 50-year-old Georgia native; he played lots of clubs before landing a deal with Arista Records 20 years ago this month. He went on to sell more than 50 million albums and chart a slew of hits, many of them from his own pen. His latest album, 2007's Good Time, has produced three No. 1 singles —Small Town Southern Man, Country Boy and the title track. His new single Sissy's Song is in the Top 10. While Jackson won't call it a comeback album, it did produce his first No. 1 song since 2003's Remember When. "I hadn't had a mainstream album in a few years," he said. "I'd done a gospel thing and then an artsy album with Alison (Krauss, who produced Jackson's 2006 CD Like Red on a Rose). It had been a few years since I'd had an album like I'd always made. So it was time." Joe Galante, chairman of Sony Music Nashville, which includes Jackson's Arista label, thinks there's more to it than that. "The collection of songs he had on this record were certainly head and shoulders above what he'd had recently," Galante said. At present, Jackson has four or five tunes written for the next album, which he'll probably start recording this summer. He knows he's got his work cut out for him. "I think every album you have, especially if it's done well, you feel like you're competing with yourself," he said. (Daily Record)
Natalie Cole is preparing for her comeback performance less than a month after a successful kidney transplant. The Grammy-winning singer says she'll perform Sept. 9 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The 59-year-old had the surgery in Los Angeles last month. She had been scheduled to start a tour on June 5; those dates are being rescheduled. Cole is also thanking fans for their support. Her sister Carole Cole died on May 19, the same day the singer had her surgery. Cole says she's in the midst of sorrow, but is still able to celebrate her "new lease on life." (Daily Record)
American Idol’s runner-up is one step closer to becoming a glam-rock superstar. Adam Lambert has inked deals with 19 Entertainment and RCA Recordings — and will be working on a debut album that is expected in the fall. “I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” Lambert, 27, said in a statement. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!” Simon Fuller, the creator and executive producer of American Idol, sung Lambert’s praises in the statement: “To find a talent as exceptional as Adam Lambert is a rare and special event … I am thrilled that American Idol was the platform for the world to discover this brilliant young man. He is unique and unforgettable and a certain star of tomorrow.” Lambert will record his album this summer while on the road with the other top 10 contestants for the Idols Live Tour, which kicks off July 5 in Portland, Ore. The press release also encourages fans to check out Lambert on the cover of Rolling Stone, out June 12, for a story in which he has promised “all your questions will be answered” about his sexuality. Kris Allen, who bested Lambert in Idol’s shocking season finale, also signed a record deal, it was announced Monday. (People)

Initially turned off by the Twitter phenomenon, O.A.R. front man Marc Roberge tells Billboard.com his island-vibe roots-rock act is embracing the new social media website for a first-of-its-kind Tweet songwriting contest that will result in a new song being released exclusively via iTunes in October. "I really kind of got into it with the first idea, 'Wouldn't it be cool if we could just kind of get together with the people and hear what they have to say lyrically?'" Roberge says. "And then I thought further about it and said, 'If I collected all of these lyrics from these people and wrote music inspired by it, it's truly like an original idea.' "I do a lot of co-writing, I like to meet up with songwriters in New York City but I guarantee you there are kids out there living in Kansas City who don't necessarily have the opportunity to get their lyrics out there. So it's a pretty original idea and a cool way to get together and be inspired by people that keep in touch with us." Beginning today (June 9) through July 7, fans can submit their lyrics, 140 characters at a time, to O.A.R.'s page at twitter.com/ofarevolution. The band will then pick three winning verses, a chorus, and a bridge that will make up the lyrics of the song. Roberge said in a perfect world, all five songwriting parts will come from different submissions. At that point, the winning song lyrics will be posted for fans to once again get involved by submitting potential song titles. "We're going to put up video footage throughout our summer tour (on Twitter) so people can follow along and see the (songwriting) process," Roberge says. "What I wanted to do is keep it as close to realistic as possible. When we get the lyrics and the title together, then we'll really show where we cut drums or write the hooks, or whatever we're doing we'll be filming it and putting it up there. "So everyday there will be a new update on what we did with this song and how close are we to recording it. We just want to make it really interactive." Proceeds from the sale of the new single will be donated to the band's Heard the World Fund, which provides resources for under-funded educational and youth-oriented programs. The singer-guitarist says the band is also looking ahead to the follow-up release of its 2008 effort "All Sides." In fact, the outfit has been working on new material, including the jam-friendly, saxophone-fueled "What in the World?," which could see stage time on its current "This Town Summer Tour" within the next week. O.A.R. is scheduled to play tomorrow (June 10) in St. Louis, Mo. There's also talk of a new concert CD being recorded this year. "We'll be recording a live record here shortly before the next studio record," Roberge says. "We just haven't really nailed down where we're going to be recording it yet, but the fans can definitely look forward to seeing a live record before the next studio record." He adds, "I'd absolutely love to have it out by the holidays." (Billboard)
Fans heading out to see Def Leppard this summer should make sure their phones are charged. Specifically, those fans who own phones with Bluetooth capabilities or phones that can connect to a Wi-Fi spot will have the chance to download a host of unique Def Leppard content at each tour stop. The seminal British heavy metal act has teamed up with Ace Marketing & Promotions for "Rockzimity," a mobile experience where fans in attendance will be able to download select Def Leppard album art wallpaper, voice tones, and video clips. Fans will not be charged any data or minute usage for the service. In 2008, Def Leppard test drove delivering their fans content via "Rockzimity" at an August 23 show at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena. Ace Marketing reported that "over 1,648 devices" were utilized, which they figured was 18% of the entire audience. As previously reported, Def Leppard is embarking on a 40 date tour starting June 23 in Camden, New Jersey. Cheap Trick and Poison will join them on the road. In an interview with Billboard.com, lead singer Joe Elliott said "We're going out with three bands, which limits' the amount of time we can play to about 90 minutes. When you do your greatest hits and some new material or extra stuff you might throw in, you have got to push and shove and clamp down. No big long speeches from moi. You have to do the AC/DC thing and just bang through everything." Def Leppard also recently announced another new medium to which they'd be interacting with fans this summer: YouTube. Via the band's website they're challenging fans to submit their best videos of classic Def Leppard tunes- lip-synched, of course. Winners will receive two concert tickets and backstage passes to meet the band. In related news, Def Leppard is scheduled to appear on the 2009 CMT Awards on June 16. Recent collaborations with Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw have brought the legendary rockers into the country music spotlight with three nominations for this year's awards. Deluxe editions of "Pyromania" and "Adrenalize" are due on June 23 as well. (Billboard)
Hip-hop performer DJ Jazzy Jeff stormed off the stage during a weekend performance in Kansas City, saying venue managers did not like the type of music he was playing. Officials with the Power & Light District say they just wanted the production crew to turn down the music because it was too loud for the sound system. "His management was instructed on four occasions to turn the music down," said Power & Light District president Jon Stephens. "The system was maxed out and it would have damaged the equipment." In Twitter entries, Jazzy Jeff said the staff at the KC Live! pavilion stopped his show after about half an hour Saturday night "for playin' hip hop." The performer, whose real name is Jeff Townes, won a Grammy in 1988 with partner Will Fresh Prince Smith for the hit Parents Just Don't Understand. He also had a recurring role as Smith's best friend on the 1990s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Concertgoers said Jazzy Jeff was playing hip-hop and pop songs before abruptly ending his set. Then rapper Skillz, who was serving as Jazzy Jeff's hype man, yelled out, "They won't let us play hip-hop, y'all." Representatives for Jazzy Jeff did not return calls from The Associated Press on Monday. In a Kansas City Star column, Jazzy Jeff told the reporter that venue officials said his set "attracted the wrong kind of element." He told the columnist that the "element" reference seemed to be directed at blacks. Baltimore-based Cordish Co., which operates the Power & Light District, received negative attention last year for its dress code banning hip-hop styles such as sagging pants and oversize jewelry. Stephens says it's not about race, and that the DJ's hip-hop reputation was the reason he was invited. He says other acts at the pavilion have also been asked to turn their music down. (Daily Record)
U.K. pop artist Mika unveiled new material at an intimate, acoustic gig at London's Sadler's Wells theater last night (June 8). The singer, whose "Life in Cartoon Motion" (Island) debut album is BPI-certified quadruple platinum (1.2 million shipments) in the United Kingdom, performed two tracks from his forthcoming sophomore album, due in September, alongside more familiar material. "Good Gone Girl" and "Blame It on the Girls," were both upbeat, flamboyant pop anthems in a similar vein to previous hits like "Grace Kelly" and "Love Today." He also aired all four songs from his current "Songs for Sorrow" EP -- "Toy Boy," "Lonely Alcoholic," "Blue Eyes" and "Lady Jane" -- which show a more soulful side to the singer. Despite being billed as a "stripped down" acoustic show, the gig still featured plenty of Mika's trademark showmanship. As well as a silvery stage set and a full string section, at one point there was a simulated thunderstorm, complete with glitter "rain," while during set-closer "Lollipop" giant inflatable balls were hurled into the audience. The set ended with his U.K. hit "Relax (Take It Easy)," which prompted a stage invasion by dozens of fans. The gig follows similar shows in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Milan. Mika plays two sold out shows at Paris Cirque D'Hiver June 11-12 and a U.S. show at New York Poisson Rouge June 23. (Billboard)

In the end, the drunk dudes took the prize. When the final box-office numbers rolled in, The Hangover took over No. 1, bumping Up, in its second weekend, down a notch. The Sunday estimates for Hangover were revised upward $1.7 million on Monday to $45 million, and Up's take dipped slightly to $44.1 million.
Warner Bros. had expected Sunday's NBA championship game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic to cut into business for the R-rated comedy, whose target audience was young males. Yet more people turned up for the movie about friends who deal with the aftermath of an out-of-control Vegas bachelor party than anticipated, says Warner Bros. distribution chief Dan Fellman. "The Lakers weren't the only winners," he says. "We had an unbelievable day." Disney and Pixar can't be that disappointed. The second weekend pushed their family-friendly animated film into blockbuster territory in just 10 days with a total of $137.2 million. Feeling more pain: Land of the Lost. The Will Ferrell comedy's disappointing Sunday estimate was revised downward nearly 700,000 to $18.8 million. It's still No. 3. (Daily Record)
Spider-Man has netted his leading lady - director Sam Raimi has persuaded Kirsten Dunst to sign up for the fourth installment of the web-slinging superhero franchise. Dunst's return to the role of Mary Jane-Watson was thrown into doubt after Raimi told reporters the actress was still pondering whether to rejoin the cast. But it has been confirmed the 26-year-old will reunite with Tobey Maguire - who had already agreed a deal to appear in the fourth and fifth movies. Now, film bosses are left with just one more challenge - finding the perfect villain. Producer Todd Black tells MTV.co.uk, "We're just coming up with who the villain's going to be now. We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me - people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York." The movie is slated for a 2011 release. (Teen Hollywood)
Hot-tempered Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott are said to be squabbling like a couple of gladiators on the British set of their latest collaboration, Universal's big-budget Robin Hood flick. "The producers had to fly to London because Russell and Ridley won't talk to each other," an insider told Page Six. "Every time they stop filming, it costs the production millions of dollars." It would be the latest glitch for the $175 million movie, which was originally titled "Nottingham" but is now just "Untitled Robin Hood Project." Last December, we revealed how Crowe no longer wanted to work with Scott, whom he blamed for their disastrous fourth collaboration, "Body of Lies." Then, in January, we reported how the Oscar-winning hothead ordered producers to get a new director and demanded script rewrites that devoted more of the plot to him. The delays caused Sienna Miller to drop out, and Crowe had to go on a crash diet to drop 35 pounds because, as one producer noted, "We can't have Robin Hood looking more like Friar Tuck." Crowe's publicist, Alan Nierob, denied that there's any friction between star and director, insisting, "It's a good scene down there. Everything is on schedule." Universal chairman Marc Shmuger told us: "Ridley and Russell asked us to visit . . . to see more than an hour of footage they've already shot, which was nothing short of spectacular . . . We couldn't be more excited by what we saw. Russell and Ridley are working on their fifth film together and have one of the strongest and most collaborative working relationships. When it's news that a studio chairman and a film's producer [Brian Grazer] visit a production, it must be a very slow gossip day." Crowe recently told Live News the title of the picture, which co-stars fellow Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, may be changed to "Robin Hood" in order to market it more easily next May.(Page Six)
That didn't take long. Fresh off "The Hangover's" $45 million weekend box-office blowout, star Bradley Cooper is in official talks to step into the role of Face for Fox's feature adaptation of "The A-Team." Cooper had been rumored for some time to play the dashing Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, part of a group of framed, on-the-run war vets who get into adventures while evading the military. Dirk Benedict originated the role on the 1980s NBC series created by Stephen J. Cannell. The hunt is on for actors to portray team leader Hannibal, as well as characters B.A. Baracus, and Howling Mad Murdock. The big-budget project, being directed by Joe Carnahan ("Smokin' Aces") from a screenplay by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt ("Wanted"), already has a June 11, 2010, release date. Ridley and Tony Scott are producing. Cooper, who is repped by CAA and Thruline Entertainment, next appears in the Fox 2000 comedy "All About Steve." He will reprise his role as the hard-partying teacher Phil in a sequel to "Hangover," whose development was ushered several months before the movie came out. (Hollywood Reporter)

Mark-Paul Gosselaar swung by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Monday evening, but he wasn't quite himself. Sporting his trademark blonde 'do, white hightop sneakers and faded jeans, he insisted he was Zack Morris from Saved by the Bell -- there to promote his alter ego's TNT show Raising the Bar. "I had to change my name to Mark-Paul Gosselaar because there was already a Zack Morris in SAG," he told Jimmy Fallon. With a few time-outs, a performance of the Zack Attack song "Friends Forever" and a call to Jessie Spano on his huge cell phone, the star committed to a Saved by the Bell reunion on the show. (The only two stars yet to agree to the reunion are Tiffani Thiessen, who played Zack's girlfriend Kelly Kapowski and Dustin Diamond, who played nerd Screech Powers.) "Like a class reunion?" he asked. "Well sure, I'd love to see the old gang again!" (US Weekly)
Heidi and Spencer Pratt have left the island -- for good. After several attempts to quit, rumors of torture and an emergency trip to the hospital, The Hills stars have officially quit I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. After the newlyweds spent a night in the "Lost Chamber," the other contestants welcomed them back into the competition on Monday night's two-hour episode. "I guess this is what we deserve for being cry babies," Spencer said during their 14-hour stay in the spider-filled room -- while the rest of the cast voted if they could remain on the show after quitting last week. Still, back at camp, Heidi and the newly religious Spencer didn't gain friends. "I don't believe him for a second," newcomer Daniel Baldwin said of Spencer. "This is the wolf in sheep's clothing." Even Janice Dickinson -- who took the Pratts' side in an argument over dry shampoo in a previous episode -- felt the wrath of Spencer, who warned her that he'll "Spence out" after she said Heidi sounded like a "drowned cat" when she sang. The drama continued when Heidi was hospitalized for a gastric ulcer. "I threw up at least 10, 15 times last night," said Heidi, who was treated at a Costa Rican hospital before being released. Spencer added: "If Heidi is sick, then I'm sick because we are of one flesh." At the end of the episode, fellow competitor Lou Diamond Phillips announced that the couple decided to leave the jungle to get medical care. (US Weekly)

Rachael Ray's daytime talk show has been renewed. Through the 2011-12 season!!!! Does the world really need this?! The show, which inexplicably won an Emmy, has been cleared in almost 60% of the country to appear through its sixth season. “Viewers really responded to our initial idea to expand Rachael beyond the kitchen and turn it into a hit daytime show," said Terry Wood, president of programming for CBS. Jack Bauer will be getting help from Starbuck next season. In a casting straight out of fan central, Katee Sackhoff, best known for her role as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on "Battlestar Galactica," has been tapped to co-star on another series with a big fan following, Fox's "24." Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, a smart, competent, expert data analyst at CTU with a secret past who is involved with CTU agent Davis Cole (Freddie Prinze Jr.). This marks the final major casting of a new regular for the 20th TV/Imagine TV series' upcoming eighth season, which is in production. Sackhoff was close to committing to "24" a week ago, but with another lucrative offer from a cable network on the table, she took herself out of contention to mull her options. She restarted her talks with 20th TV on Friday and was cast Monday on "24." Sackhoff starts filming Wednesday on the series starring Kiefer Sutherland. She joins fellow new cast members Prinze, Jennifer Westfeldt, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd and Chris Diamantopoulos. Sackhoff most recently toplined NBC's pilot "Lost and Found." She is managed by Bleu and also repped by attorney Darren Trattner. (Hollywood Reporter)
It will be a doubleheader Emmy weekend Sept. 12-13. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' board of the Governors on Monday decided to keep the 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on their originally scheduled date, Sept. 12. It now will lead into the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, which were shifted last week from Sept. 20 to Sept. 13 to avoid possible delays as CBS, which carries the Primetime Emmys this year, has an NFL doubleheader slated for Sept. 20. E! is still expected to telecast the Creative Emmys a week later, Sept. 19. The only change: Because the Primetime and Creative Emmys were to be held at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live, the Creative Arts Emmys has been moved to the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center to accommodate preparations for CBS' live broadcast the next evening. (The Convention Center also will house the Creative Arts Ball as originally planned.) The setup -- with the Creative and Primetime Emmys taking place on the same weekend -- reverts to a tradition that had been in place until about 10 years ago, when the Creative Emmys moved up a week. Shifting the Creative Emmys by a week this year would have been difficult as the show would have fallen on Labor Day weekend. "We made this decision to ensure that this year's celebration will carry on the tradition of presenting a high-quality, entertaining awards ceremony for all involved," ATAS chairman and CEO John Shaffner said. The 2009 Creative Arts Emmys are executive produced by Lee Miller and Steve Venezia, with Spike Jones Jr. producing. Nominations for the 2009 Primetime and Creative Emmys will be announced July 16.
