WILL FERRELL UNVEILS SUNTAN LOTIONS FOR CHARITY

He fights dinosaurs in his new movie Land of the Lost, but in real life, WILL FERRELL is battling the sun's harmful UV rays.  The actor has come out with a new line of three suntan lotions called WILL POWERED, with all the proceeds going to a charity for cancer survivors. The lotions are dubbed Sunstroke, Sexy Hot Tan and Forbidden Fruit.

Ferrell says, quote, "I'm proud to be associated with a great charity, Cancer for College.  Since 1993, my good friend CRAIG POLLARD, who is a two-time cancer survivor, and Cancer for College, have helped hundreds of cancer survivors realize their dreams of a college education."

There are three different scents of the lotion and each bottle features a barely-clothed Ferrell on it.  A six-ounce bottle goes for $11.99.  You can learn more -- and see the lotion bottles, featuring Ferrell on the labels in various stages of undress -- by logging onto .

Land of the Lost opens in theaters nationwide today.

NBC EXEC RIPS SPENCER AND HEIDI

Add yet another name to the long list of people SPENCER and HEIDI PRATT have annoyed.  PAUL TELEGDY, the executive vice president of alternative programming for NBC, bashed the couple yesterday for flip-flopping over whether or not to quit I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!  Teledgy said, quote, "They are everything that's wrong with America.  They are insincere, lazy, entitled and they claim the devil has possessed them."

Since the reality show premiered this past Monday, Spencer and Heidi have quit and returned several times, with Spencer boasting that he and his wife are "super-celebrities" who have no business being in the Costa Rican jungle.  While their antics have generated lots of publicity, they haven't helped the program score big ratings -- the most recent Nielsen numbers indicate 4.8 million viewers watched Wednesday's episode, down from the 6.4 million who tuned in to Monday's premiere.

Heidi and Spencer's fate is still up in the air.  The remaining "celebrities" on the show now will decide whether or not to let them return.

US JOURNALISTS AWAITING FATE IN NORTH KOREA

It may be North Korea’s intention to use LAURA LING and EUNA LEE as pawns in negotiations with the U.S.

The two American journalists, who work for former Vice President AL GORE’s Current TV, went on trial yesterday for alleged “hostile acts.” They were arrested near the North Korean border in March.

If found guilty, the pair could receive up to ten years at a prison labor camp. However, CHOI EUN-SUK, a professor of North Korean law,  doesn’t believe it will come to that even if the women are convicted.

Choi predicts that through negotiations with the U.S., Ling and Lee could be released from custody and deported. That’s provided the North gets some kind of concessions.

Pyongyang is currently under the gun with the rest of the world because of an underground nuclear test and missile launches that occurred well after the reporters were arrested.

Ling’s sister, TV reporter LISA LING, says the two women are caught in the middle of a nuclear standoff and she urged Washington and Pyonyang to, quote, “try to communicate, to try and bring our situation to a resolution on humanitarian grounds, to separate the issues.”

WOMAN WHO ATTACKED SIMON COWELLS EX PLEADS GUILTY TO BATTERY

The woman who was accused of attacking Extra correspondent TERRI SEYMOUR outside a taping of American Idol last month pleaded guilty yesterday in Los Angeles to misdemeanor battery.  A misdemeanor assault charge was dropped under the plea deal.

Thirty-three-year-old JANICE THIBODEAUX was sentenced to three years' probation and was ordered to take anger management classes.  She must also keep her distance from Seymour, who recently filed for a long-term restraining order against Thibodeaux.

Thibodeaux, who must return to court on July 16th for a progress update, told RadarOnline.com that she attacked Seymour -- the ex-girlfriend of Idol judge SIMON COWELL -- because she was upset that Cowell pretended to choke fellow judge PAULA ABDUL on the show.

When people need a new door they usually go buy one, but one Florida man decided to take one from his neighbor's house.  The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says 53-year-old Gary Thomas didn't think he was doing anything wrong when he grabbed his power drill Wednesday night and removed a new aluminum screen door from his next-door neighbor's house, which was going through foreclosure.  Police were called when another neighbor reported a burglar at the vacant house.  Thomas is charged with burglary, grand theft and possession of burglary tools.  He's being held at the Land O'Lakes Jail on 17 thousand dollars bail.

TV IN BRIEF

The audience numbers are in for JAY LENO's final night as host of The Tonight Show.  He drew 11.9 million viewers for his farewell episode on May 29th, more than double his average for the season but only his seventh-highest-rated telecast overall.  It's also not nearly as impressive as the audience for JOHNNY CARSON's final night on The Tonight Show in 1992: 41 million viewers...

BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN won't be joining the cast of One Tree Hill.  He was said to be in talks to appear on the CW series, but Zap2it.com reports that Green chose not to accept the offer he received...

The Hollywood Reporter says Fox is attached to a reality show titled I Married a Stranger.  The concept is pretty self-explanatory: a woman ties the knot to a man chosen from a group of six bachelors by her friends and family.  There's no word yet on a premiere date.  CBS has scheduled a similar show, Arranged Marriage, for midseason...

Father time won't stop JEFFREY TAMBOR from being a father again.  The 64-year-old former Arrested Development actor announced on last night's Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson he and his 41-year-old wife, KASIA OSTLUN, are expecting twins.  Ostlun is due in October.  The couple already has a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.  In addition, Tambor, who is also a grandfather, has an adult daughter from a previous marriage...

CUSSING ON THE DECLINE ON THE BIG SCREEN

(NOTE LANGUAGE)
Hollywood is cleaning things up for the kids.  Researchers at Brigham Young University looked at 90 hit films rated G, PG and PG-13 that came out between 1980 and 2006 to determine how much profanity appeared in them.  The study examined the FCC's so-called "seven dirty words," as well as words describing sexual and excretory acts and mild swear words, such as "damn" and "hell."

Here's a look at the findings:

-- A total of 2,311 dirty words were said.

-- Movies from the '80s averaged 35 dirty words.

-- Movies from the '90s averaged 25 dirty words.

-- Movies from the 2000s averages 16 dirty words.

-- The FCC's "seven dirty words" were said 508 times.  That's 22 percent of the total.

Films that featured a plot focused on teenagers and movies that starred actors between the ages of 12 and 17 were included in the study.  Back to the Future, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, The Karate Kid, Clueless, The Brady Bunch Movie, Spider-Man, the Harry Potter series and Remember the Titans are  some of the titles used in the study.

DENISE RICHARDS ON HER BREASTS AND FRIEND WITH BENEFITS

DENISE RICHARDS has something to get off her chest.  The actress tells Access Hollywood she has undergone not one, but three breast implant surgeries.  She said the first one was, quote, "a dumb mistake I made when I was 19 years old.  I had just moved to Los Angeles, I had a gorgeous roommate who got new breasts and I was so self-conscious about it because kids made fun of me because I was flat...I made the mistake and bought them myself."

The 38-year-old Richards said complications arose from that surgery, so she had to undergo a second procedure, which made her breasts even bigger.  She felt she looked "ridiculous" and elected to have a third operation to reduce them after she starred in The World Is Not Enough.  Richards says she regrets messing with what nature gave her in the first place, adding, quote, "It was a stupid thing to do when I was a teenager and I would encourage all young girls not to."

Richards, who has two kids with ex-husband CHARLIE SHEEN, also discussed what it's like dating as a single mother.  While she waits for Mr. Right, she said she is enjoy the company of a, quote, "friend with benefits."  After initially rejecting the possibility, Richards said, quote, "After going through a divorce, going through all this, I'm like 'Life is short, I wanna have a good time!'  When I meet 'The One,' I'll be with him and it'll be all good, but until then, you know, I like to have a good time."

You can see Richards this Sunday when the second season of her E! reality series Denise Richards: It's Complicated premieres at 11 p.m. ET.

The Sprint Cup Series heads to Pennsylvania this weekend for Sunday's Pocono 500.  Veteran MARK MARTIN leads all drivers with 31 top-10 finishes at Pocono Raceway, but JEFF GORDON has captured the most checkered flags at the track -- four.  KASEY KAHNE is the defending winner of the spring event.  Check out the action on TNT, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Eastern.

In related news, NASCAR has announced it will implement double-file restarts, beginning with this Sunday's Sprint Cup race.  NASCAR chairman BRIAN FRANCE says fans have been calling for the "shootout style," which puts the leaders up front and lapped cars behind them.  The procedure, which has previously only been used in the All-Star race, helps race leaders avoid lapped traffic on the inside lane.

TONY STEWART says he's excited about double-file restarts -- quote, "The good thing is when they drop the green, you're going to be racing with the guys you're racing for position instead of trying to clear lapped cars."  KEVIN HARVICK says the new procedure is going to make the sport, quote, "even more exciting than it already is."

THE ULTIMATE OLDER MALEYOUNGER BABE CELEBRITY COUPLES

Fifty-five-year-old BRUCE WILLIS recently made headlines when he married a 31-year-old unknown actress, but he's certainly not the first older Hollywood male to hook up with a younger woman.  TOM CRUISE is 16 years older than his wife, KATIE HOLMES, and HARRISON FORD is 22 years old than partner CALISTA FLOCKHARDT.

Matchmaker.com recently surveyed its members and asked who they thought would make the ideal older actor/younger celeb couple.  Here are the results, divided between what men thought and women thought:

MEN:
Mickey Rourke and Paris Hilton, 25%
Jack Nicholson and Kim Kardashian, 21.9%
George Hamilton and Lindsay Lohan, 18.8%
Tom Jones and Miley Cyrus, 12.5%
George Clooney and Megan Fox, 9.4%
Robin Williams and Leighton Meester, 7.8%
Samuel L. Jackson and Camilla Belle, 6.3%

WOMEN:
Jack Nicholson and Kim Kardashian, 41.7%
George Hamilton and Lindsay Lohan, 25.0%
Mickey Rourke and Paris Hilton, 20.8%
George Clooney and Megan Fox, 16.7%
Robin Williams and Leighton Meester, 12.5%

DIERKS BENTLEY JUST SAYS NO TO DANCING ON TV

You won't catch DIERKS BENTLEY cutting a rug on ABC-TV's Dancing with the Stars. He was actually asked to be on the show's first season and tells GAC, quote, "I have no dance moves. I don't care if you got the best trainer in the world...I do a really bad version of the running man, but after that, it's pretty bad!" Look for Dierks to strut his stuff on BRAD PAISLEY's American Saturday Night tour, kicking off tonight in Charlotte, North Carolina.

NEVADA BROTHEL LOOKING FOR A FEW HOT MEN

If you're a man between the ages of 30 and 50 who's in good shape and looking for work, the Shady Lady Ranch about 150 miles north of Las Vegas would like to speak with you.

The Shady Lady is a legal brothel in Nye County, and owner Bobbi Davis is looking to hire a couple of men to expand her clientele.  Davis says she knows women are different than men when it comes to being seduced in a brothel environment, but she's going to maintain her current prices for both gender services -- 500 dollars for two hours and 800 bucks for three.  Davis adds, quote, "That may change. We're figuring that women may want a longer period of time, maybe a little more romance.  They're not like men in that respect."

George Flynt, a lobbyist for the Nevada Brothel Association, says the Shady Lady isn't the only brothel to consider hiring male prostitutes for female customers.  Flynt says brothels in the state have seen a 50 percent drop in business as a result of the weak economy and they'll do anything to survive.

AMERICANS TURN TO JUNK FOOD WHEN STRESSED

The weak economy isn't just having a negative impact on the average American's financial situation, it's also having a detrimental effect on our waistlines.  A new survey reveals 22 percent of Americans admit they've been eating less healthy than normal during the past six months because of the economy.  Other highlights from the survey:

-- 64 percent of Americans reach for junk food when stressed out.

-- 26 percent of women and 18 percent of men have indulged in more unhealthy foods than usual due to the economic stress of the past six months.

-- In general, more men than women -- 40 percent vs. 34 percent -- reach for junk food when snacking.

-- 77 percent of respondents find it a challenge to incorporate healthy foods into their daily diets.

The survey of one thousand U.S. adults was commissioned by Wasa Crispbread.

CHUCK WICKS EXPLAINS WHY HE PICKED UP THE GUITAR

CHUCK WICKS was obviously a fan of country music when he was growing up, but he had another reason for learning to play guitar. In an interview with Recordnet.com, Chuck says, quote, "It was cool for girls if you played an instrument. I'm halfway decent on guitar, but I'm no KEITH URBAN or BRAD PAISLEY by any stretch."

Chuck's not doing too badly, though. His latest single, "Man of the House," is now climbing the charts.

MUGGER TARGETS GUN EXPERT TRAINED IN DISARMING PEOPLE

A would-be robber made a bad decision this week when he tried to mug a man who turned out to be a firearms instructor and self-defense expert.

Published reports from Waterbury, Connecticut say 25-year-old Eddys Marte approached 53-year-old Robert Dwyer with a gun Tuesday night and demanded money.  Dwyer, who's a federal Justice Department firearms instructor trained in how to disarm people, grabbed the gun and fought off Marte. Bystanders helped subdue the suspect and hold him for police.  Dwyer says he fought the robber because he was upset the guy was bringing crime to his neighborhood.  Marte has been charged with attempted robbery.

MOM TAKES KIDS TO BAR AND LETS THEM HANG WITH VOMITING DRUNK

Today's "Mother of the Year" candidate is a 32-year-old Nebraska woman who police say took her two small children to a bar late Saturday night and later left them outside in a parking lot with a drunk man who was throwing up.

The Omaha World-Herald newspaper reports police were called to the bar around 11 p.m. and officers told the mom children couldn't be in the bar at that time of night.  The newspaper says the officers returned to their patrol car and observed the woman walking outside with her kids and leaving them with a drunk man who was vomiting while she went back inside.  Officers confronted the mom and ticketed her for suspicion of child neglect.  Officials say the children were taken to their legal guardian.

*****

May 12th -- Miss USA owner DONALD TRUMP announces that Miss California USA CARRIE PREJEAN will keep her crown.  Her status as Miss California USA had been in doubt because she failed to disclose to the pageant that she had posed for some racy photos as a teenager.  In addition, Prejean had also spoken at an event for the National Organization for Marriage, which opposes same-sex marriage.  The contract for Miss California USA contestants forbids the winner from making personal appearances without permission.  Prejean initially made a name for herself by stating her opposition to same-sex marriage at the Miss USA pageant, in response to a question from judge and openly-gay blogger PEREZ HILTON.

April 13th -- PHIL SPECTOR is found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of actress LANA CLARKSON at his California home in 2003.  The 69-year-old producer faces a sentence of anywhere from 15 years to life in prison for the murder, plus an additional, three, four or ten years tacked onto that for gun use.  Spector's attorney says they will appeal the verdict.  In the meantime, Spector is remanded into custody.

April 6th -- CHRIS BROWN makes a brief scheduled appearance in a Los Angeles court, where he pleads not guilty to felony charges in connection with his alleged assault of RIHANNA in February.  He was charged in March with two felonies -- assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats.  The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 29th.  If convicted, Brown could face up to nearly five years in prison, though his legal team is said to be working with prosecutors on a plea deal.

March 26th -- The man whom Los Angeles police say had duct tape, loaded guns and love letters in his vehicle when he was caught hopping a studio fence to try and meet Dancing with the Stars contestant SHAWN JOHNSON pleads not guilty to felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle.  Bail for ROBERT O'RYAN, who is from Yullee, Florida, is raised from 35 grand to 220 thousand dollars and he is given a trial date of April 27th.

March 16th -- A Beverly Hills judge recalls the arrest warrant issued a few days earlier for LINDSAY LOHAN, ruling that the actress has been complying with the terms of her probation stemming from a pair of 2007 DUI cases.  Lohan's attorney explains to reporters that the "misunderstanding" occurred because Lohan had switched alcohol treatment programs.

March 13th -- A Beverly Hills judge issues a warrant for LINDSAY LOHAN's arrest.  The warrant is somehow connected to the probation Lohan received in a pair of 2007 DUI cases.  Her attorney later claims that the warrant was issued due to a "misunderstanding" she hopes to rectify in court.

March 12th -- HOWARD K. STERN, the lawyer-boyfriend of ANNA NICOLE SMITH, is charged with conspiring to furnish controlled substances to the late reality TV star prior to her 2007 death.  Two doctors, SANDEEP KAPOOR and KHRISTINE EROSHEVICH, are similarly charged.  Stern and Kapoor surrender to authorities in Los Angeles and each post 20 thousand dollars bond.

March 5th -- CHRIS BROWN is formally charged in his alleged assault of RIHANNA.  Chris is charged with a pair of felonies: assault likely to cause great bodily injury, and making criminal threats.  Later in the day, he makes a brief court appearance in Los Angeles, where his arraignment is postponed until April 6th.

March 2nd -- GARY COLLINS pleads no contest to DUI in connection with his January arrest near Montecito, California.  He may face 120 days in jail since he's been convicted of DUI twice before.  However, the 70-year-old former Miss America pageant host may apply for electronically-monitored home detention.  Collins' penalties also include three years' probation and a three-year suspension of his driver's license.

February 8th -- CHRIS BROWN turns himself into police and is booked on charges of "criminal threats" following an alleged domestic dispute the night before in Los Angeles that reportedly involved his girlfriend, RIHANNA. Brown posts 50 thousand dollars' bail and is released. According to reports, he allegedly assaulted a woman, who has not yet been officially identified as Rihanna, following an argument.

January 31st -- Seventy-year-old TV host GARY COLLINS is arrested outside of Montecito, California on suspicion of DUI.  He is booked at Santa Barbara County Jail and subsequently released.  Collins served a four-day jail sentence in California in early 2008 after pleading no contest to two DUI charges in connection with a 2007 crash blamed on another motorist.

January 20th -- WILLIAM BALFOUR, the man accused of killing JENNIFER HUDSON's family members, pleads not guilty to the crimes.  He is accused of killing Jennifer's mother, brother and nephew.

January 9th -- RYAN O'NEAL is sentenced to an 18-month drug diversion program after pleading guilty to a felony methamphetamine possession charge.  The case will be dismissed if O'Neal completes the program.  The 67-year-old actor and his 23-year-old son, REDMOND, were arrested in September, 2008 after authorities allegedly found drugs at O'Neal's Malibu, California home during a probation check of Redmond.

January 2nd, 2009 -- HEATHER LOCKLEAR is sentenced to three years of informal probation and a fine after her attorney pleads no contest on her behalf to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.  Under the plea deal, the 47-year-old Locklear must also attend a driver's education program.  Locklear was charged the previous November with driving under the influence of prescription drugs in connection with her September, 2008 arrest in Montecito, California.

December 31st -- DANE COOK's half-brother, accused of embezzling millions of dollars from the comedian-actor, pleads not guilty at a Woburn, Massachusetts court.  Forty-three-year-old DARRYL MCCAULEY, a former business manager of Cook's, was arrested earlier in the week and faces forgery and larceny charges.  McCauley is ordered held on three million dollars bail.  Prosecutors claim McCauley transferred money, partly through a three-million-dollar check he allegedly forged, from Cook's business accounts into his personal accounts between July of 2007 and December of 2008.

December 16th - It was revealed by E! Online that on December 8th, a man hurt in the 2006 car accident on California's San Diego Freeway involving actress/singer BRANDY NORWOOD, which left one person dead, is suing the singer and the dead driver for personal injury and negligence.  Eighty-two-year-old DONALD LITE claims he suffered, quote, "serious and permanent injuries" because Brandy and AWATEF ABOUDIHAJ failed to keep a safe distance from each other.  After Aboudihaj slammed on her brakes, Brandy hit her, while Aboudihaj crashed into Lite's car.  A fourth vehicle then hit Aboudihaj, who died the following day. Lite is seeking unspecified damages for pain and suffering, in addition to medical care costs and lost wages.  Brandy is already dealing with a trio of wrongful death lawsuits filed by Aboudihaj's family.

December 2nd -- JENNIFER HUDSON's estranged brother-in-law, WILLIAM BALFOUR, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony home invasion in connection with the shooting deaths of the Oscar-winner's family members in October.  Balfour was arrested the previous day after being held in an Illinois prison for an alleged parole violation.  He was initially taken into custody on October 24th, the same day the bodies of Hudson's mother, 57-year-old DARNELL DONERSON, and her brother, 29-year-old JASON HUDSON, were discovered in their Chicago home.  The body of Hudson's seven-year-old nephew, JULIAN KING, was found in an SUV three days later.

October 31st -- Former One Day at A Time star MACKENZIE PHILLIPS pleads guilty to a felony count of drug possession in connection with her arrest at Los Angeles International Airport the previous August.  She was charged in early September with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance -- heroin and cocaine.  The heroin possession charge is dismissed, as is a misdemeanor count of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe.  The Los Angeles judge says the case will be dismissed altogether if Phillips completes an 18-month drug treatment program.

October 15th -- RYAN O'NEAL and his 23-year-old son, REDMOND, are charged with felony methamphetamine possession in connection with their September arrest.  Redmond also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of pepper spray.  They will be arraigned on November 13th.  The 67-year-old O'Neal and his son were arrested after authorities allegedly found drugs at the actor's Malibu, California home during a probation check of Redmond on September 17th.

September 27th -- HEATHER LOCKLEAR is arrested in suburban Santa Barbara, California and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication. Authorities say the actress was spotted "driving erratically" while leaving a parking lot; her car is found parked and blocking a lane on a state highway in Montecito. Locklear is booked and later released.

September 17th -- RYAN O'NEAL and his 23-year-old son REDMOND are arrested when authorities allegedly find drugs at the actor's Malibu, California home.  Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies and probation officers were there for a routine check of Redmond, who is serving three years' probation after pleading guilty earlier in the year to drug possession charges.  Both men are released after posting 10 thousand dollars bail, and they may be charged with felony possession of narcotics.

September 11th -- Lost actor DANIEL DAE KIM is slapped with a 500-dollar fine and other penalties in connection with a DUI arrest in Hawaii the previous October.  Kim, who pleaded no contest to drunken driving charges, must also pay 212 dollars in court fees and perform 72 hours of community service.  He also has his driver's license revoked for six months.

September 3rd -- Former One Day at a Time actress MACKENZIE PHILLIPS is formally charged in connection with her arrest the previous week at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of drug possession.  Phillips is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance -- heroin and cocaine -- and a misdemeanor count of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe.  It is also revealed that she has entered rehab.

August 28th -- It's revealed that DAVID DUCHOVNY has entered rehab for a sex addiction.  In a statement released by his lawyer, The X-Files actor said, quote, "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."  Duchovny, who plays a sex-obsessed writer on Showtime's Californication, is married to actress TEA LEONI, with whom he has two children.

August 27th -- Former One Day at a Time star MACKENZIE PHILLIPS is arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of drug possession after authorities found a small amount of cocaine and heroin on her.  Phillips, who's the daughter of the late MAMAS AND THE PAPAS singer JOHN PHILLIPS, has a well-documented history with drugs that led to her firing from One Day at a Time in 1980.  She returned but left the show again in 1983 amidst more drug problems.  She eventually got sober and went on to star in the Disney Channel series So Weird.

August 14th -- British prosecutors say CHRISTIAN BALE will not face charges stemming from the previous month's alleged assault of his mother and sister at a London hotel.  Prosecutors cite insufficient evidence and also indicate that Bale's family members didn't want to pursue the case further.  A spokeswoman for Bale says The Dark Knight star now, quote, "hopes to put the matter firmly behind him."

August 13th -- SHELLEY MALIL, the 40 Year Old Virgin actor accused of stabbing his girlfriend, pleads not guilty in San Diego to attempted murder.  Malil faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted.  He remains in custody in lieu of 10 million dollars bond, having been deemed a flight risk.  The 43-year-old Malil is accused of attacking KENDRA BEEBE, previously described as an ex-girlfriend, with a knife the previous Sunday night at her suburban San Diego home.

August 12th -- SHELLEY MALIL, the 40 Year Old Virgin actor who was arrested for stabbing his ex-girlfriend more than 20 times in her suburban San Diego home the previous Monday, is officially charged with attempted murder.  Authorities identify the victim as KENDRA BEEBE and list her as being in critical condition.  The 43-year-old Malil appeared in The 40 Year Old Virgin as Haziz, one of the employees at the electronics store where STEVE CARELL'S character worked.  He also gained fame in 2001 when he starred in the "What are you doing?" Budweiser commercial that aired during the 2001 Super Bowl.

July 27th -- SHIA LABEOUF is arrested on suspicion of drunken driving following a car accident that caused him various injuries.  Authorities say his pickup truck hit another vehicle in West Hollywood around three in the morning as the 22-year-old actor was attempting a left turn at an intersection, causing his car to roll over.  According to authorities, LaBeouf appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested, booked for misdemeanor DUI and released.  His publicist says LaBeouf underwent hand surgery and will resume work on the Transformers sequel within a month.  A female passenger in LaBeouf's truck and the other driver involved in the accident were not seriously injured.

July 24th -- The Dark Knight star CHRISTIAN BALE attends a news conference for the film in Barcelona, Spain and asks for privacy in connection with the allegations he assaulted his mother and sister at a London hotel.  The 34-year-old Bale was questioned by London police earlier in the week and released on bail without being charged.  According to British press reports, Bale's mom, JENNY BALE, and his sister, SHARON BALE, have claimed he assaulted them at London's Dorchester Hotel.  Bale denies the allegations.

July 6th -- MADONNA denies speculation that she's having an affair with New York Yankees superstar ALEX RODRIGUEZ.  Addressing both rumors of the alleged affair and her possible divorce from husband GUY RITCHIE, Madonna releases a statement to People magazine that reads in part, quote, "My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce.  I know Alex Rodriguez through GUY OSEARY, who manages both of us.  I brought my kids to a Yankee game.  I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez.  I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study."  The spiritual study reference is in response to reports that Madonna is allegedly introducing Rodriguez to the study of Kabbalah.  One day later, A-Rod's wife, CYNTHIA RODRIGUEZ, files for divorce, blaming his alleged extramarital affairs.

July 2nd -- TATUM O'NEAL pleads guilty to disorderly conduct following her June arrest in New York City for allegedly buying cocaine.  Her case will be dismissed if she spends two half-day sessions in a drug treatment program and pays a 95-dollar surcharge before a scheduled court appearance on September 4th.

June 13th -- A Chicago jury acquits R. KELLY on all counts of child pornography after deliberating for less than a day.  Kelly, who was seen dabbing his face with a handkerchief and hugging his lawyers after the verdict was read, could have faced 15 years in prison, had he been found guilty.  Kelly was accused of making a graphic sex tape showing him having sex with an underaged girl.  Both he and the alleged victim, who's now 23, denied that they were on
