Cynthia Nixon is making it official with her girlfriend of nearly six years, education activist Christine Mariononi. The Sex and the City star, 43, showed off her diamond engagement ring at the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality rally for gay rights in New York City Sunday. The event supported New York governor David Paterson's proposed bill legalizing same-sex marriage. Nixon has said she would wed "if it became legal in New York.” I don't really want to get married to get married pretend. I think we'd like to do it in a real, actual, legal way that the state would recognize." The actress is mom to Samantha, 12, and Charles, 6, from her prior relationship with English professor Danny Mozes. Nixon is set to star in the Sex and the City sequel, out next spring. (US Weekly)
She has the name picked out and an eager older daughter. Now, Carnie Wilson is ready to have her second baby, who is due in early June. "I'm tired and my tummy is so tight!" Wilson, 41, told PEOPLE at Saturday's GSN Game Show Awards in Beverly Hills. "She's healthy. She's three weeks away, 2½ weeks away. I'm feeling great." Joined at the event by her musician-husband Ron Bonfiglio, mother Marilyn, and aunt, Wilson said, "I didn't know what it would be like at nine months' pregnant. But I really wanted to be here, and I'm honored. I got into hair and makeup, and I'm rolling down the carpet!" The baby's name will be Luciana, Wilson first announced in January. Balancing motherhood – daughter Lola is 4 – and a career – hosting a revival of the classic Newlywed Game on GSN – is one of Wilson's bigger life challenges. In Constant Motion "Let me tell you, it's not easy, it's not easy," Wilson says. "It's really, really challenging. But my time with my daughter is so precious. I make sure every night, every morning, if I'm not working, I'm taking her to school, I'm reading her books, I'm making her dinner, I'm loving her. It's everything." Lucy can expect to live in a house filled with books, as Wilson has already taught Lola to be a voracious reader. "If you knew how many books this child has," said Wilson, who also does not anticipate any sibling rivalry. "Oh my God, Lola is over the moon about this," Wilson says. "She says, 'I love you, Lucy,' and kisses my tummy. I'm going to wrap a doll and have it at the hospital and give it to Lola from Lucy. We're ecstatic." On camera, Wilson has hosted The Newlywed Game since April 6, marking the show's return to the air for the first time in 10 years. To put her own touch on the revived favorite, "I try to be fearless and not overanalyze," she says. "That's the way I am." (People)

People really should know not to piss off a diva! And you should never keep one waiting! Mariah Carey's new film, Precious, hit the Cannes Film Festival Friday night and everyone was walking the red carpet in style. Everyone except for Mariah, who was kept at her hotel to wait for the film's director Lee Daniels, which forced her to be unfashionably late by an hour. And she was none too happy about it! A source observed the tension between the filmmaker and star at the movie's after-party. "She was really sweet to everyone there, but you could see there was tension between her and Lee, and Nick didn't seem that pleased, either." (Perez Hilton)
Paris Hilton was devastated her infamous sex tape was leaked - because it scuppered her plans to be the new Princess Diana. A video of The Simple Life star and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon getting intimate in the bedroom hit the Internet in 2003 and was later released on DVD. But the scandal rocked the socialite and ruined her dreams to become as well loved as the tragic British royal, who died in a car crash in 1997. In her new documentary Paris, Not France, Hilton says, "When I heard about it I thought: 'Yeah right. It's going to be a look-a-like. It's going to be a joke.' But a couple of hours later it was all over online and then I saw it. "It's the most intimate thing you can do and the whole f**king world is watching it and laughing at you.”That's not what I wanted when I was a little girl. It's not what I planned. I always looked up to people like Princess Diana and now I can never be like that." (Teen Hollywood)

Michael Jackson has denied he has cancer, with his spokesman insisting that he is "in the best of health". Newspaper reports claimed that the 50-year-old star had been diagnosed with the disease after doctors found signs of cancer on his neck in combination with pre-cancerous cells on his face. "Michael's test showed spots of skin cancer on his body, and cells which could turn to skin cancer on his face. He was at first very concerned, but says he has been assured by the doctors that they can treat this and he will recover," a source said. However the singer's spokesman, Dr Tohme claimed that the report was "not true", adding: "He is great. He's in perfect health ... he doesn't have any diseases whatsoever. He is in the best of health." This was also confirmed by AEG, the company behind the UK concerts set for this summer. "The concerts are going to be absolutely amazing. We have no doubts over Michael's health." The singer has admitted suffering from skin conditions in the past, including vitiligo, which affects the skin pigmentation and is responsible for Michael's pale look. (British Glamour)

Ethan Zohn, the curly-haired soccer player who battled the elements and outwitted opponents to win Survivor: Africa, is facing his toughest adversary yet: cancer. On April 30, Zohn was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's disease. The diagnosis came after months of unexplained itching and night sweats, originally thought to be a skin condition. Doctors discovered a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle, and a CT scan revealed a mass on the left side of his chest. Then, just last week, Zohn learned he is suffering from a rare form the disease called CD20-positive Hodgkin's Lymphoma, for which he began chemotherapy last Friday. "This is the ultimate game of Survivor," Zohn, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively, "and there's really only one outcome, and that's to win. There's no other option." Hodgkin's disease is a cancer of the body's lymphatic system with survival rates reaching as high as 90 percent. Zohn was told that the CD20 diagnosis, which affects around five percent of all Hodgkin's patients, has a similar cure rate, but is treated with an altered, more aggressive, three-month chemotherapy regimen. "They're going right after this," he says. The chemo is expected to knock the always active and otherwise fit Zohn mostly out of commission for a few months, with nausea and weakness among its side effects. And he's expected to lose his famous mop of hair within two weeks. Zohn's longtime girlfriend, Survivor: The Amazon winner Jenna Morasca, 27, is vowing to be at his side throughout the process. "I will fight with every fabric of my being to get him through this," Morasca tells PEOPLE. Educating, Inspiring Others Both Zohn and Morasca lost parents to cancer. Zohn's father died of colon cancer when Ethan was 14. Morasca's mother died in 2003, after a 12-year battle with breast cancer. "Our only point of reference with this situation is death," says Morasca. Upon hearing the diagnosis, says Zohn, "My life flashed before my eyes." But in the roller coaster of emotions that followed, Zohn came to a conclusion: He wants to use his battle with cancer as way to educate and inspire others. "This is happening for a reason," he tells PEOPLE. "You have to get spiritual about this [stuff]. I know I want to help people and inspire people. That's my purpose in life. So I need to use this as a platform." Zohn, who has worked to raise money and awareness for AIDS relief in Africa through his Grassroot Soccer charity ever since winning Survivor's $1-million prize in 2002, had his first chemo treatment in Manhattan last Friday. Doctors inserted a small, octagonal port in his chest through which the chemo will be administered "like a fast-filling station" every two weeks. "It looks like I have a third nipple right now," says Zohn. "You can call me trip-nip!" He'll face the loss of his hair with the same bravado. "My hair is my identity," he admits. But rather than find "long, disgusting Ethan Zohn hair all over my house," he's decided to shave it off in the next few days: "I'll get a mohawk or something fun that I've always wanted to do." That's just fine with Morasca. "I so love the bad-boy look," she says. "I'd have him get a tattoo and a nose piercing, too, but he's not into it." Bad-boy looks or not, Zohn says he feels well-prepared for the long fight ahead. "I've got good family and friends, and I'll roll with the punches as it comes to me. That's how I work in life. I'll take it on like a real game of Survivor," he says, adding: "I'm not getting voted out of this one." (People)
Kate Walsh's accounting firm did not get the protective order it was after -- the judge felt it wasn't necessary to specifically order estranged hubby Alex Young to stop demanding financial info. Young has been on the firm's ass, demanding to know exactly how much he's owed for the house he and Kate purchased together. Fact is -- the house has gone down in value since they bought it in 2007. Alex has not only made repeated demands on the firm, but today in court Kate's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, said he's been on ABC network's ass as well, demanding financial info. Wasser said ABC will be asking for a protective order against Young. Famous pit bull lawyer Marty Singer (one of Walsh's lawyer's) will also ask for a protective order this morning. The couple was only married for 14 months before separating. (TMZ)
Alec Baldwin's joke about getting a Filipino mail-order bride provoked a sharp response in the Philippines, with one senator saying Monday that the 30 Rock star faces violence if he ever visits. Baldwin, 51, who is divorced with a teenage daughter, said in a May 12 interview on The Late Show with David Letterman that he would love to have more children. The Emmy-winning actor quipped that he was "thinking about getting a Filipino mail-order bride at this point ... or a Russian one." Baldwin has been involved in a bitter dispute with his ex-wife, Oscar-winning actress Kim Basinger, over custody of their 13-year-old daughter, Ireland. Philippine Sen. Ramon Revilla said Monday that Baldwin's comment was "insensitive and uncalled for" and an insult to millions of Filipinos. He called the actor "arrogant" and said he is apparently unaware that the Philippines has a law against mail-order brides. "Let him try to come here in the Philippines and he'll see mayhem," Revilla said, using a local idiom that implies the speaker will personally administer a beating. The senator is a former action-movie star who occasionally still appears on Philippine TV. (Daily Record)
