Lily Allen has opened up about the top secret project she has been working on recently - confirming rumors she is to embark on a modeling career. The Smile hitmaker was said to have been chosen to front a campaign for Chanel's high-end handbag range, and Allen has now revealed she will indeed be stepping in front of the camera. But the singer admits she is nervous about becoming the face of fashion. She says, "I have been doing modeling for a company. I am quite unnatural in front of the camera, especially when you are working with fashion photographers just because the nature of the people they are used to working with is very different from me. "So I always feel a little self conscious, because I am 5ft 2 and size 12. It can be a little bit intimidating, but fun on some levels." And modeling is not the only side project Allen is working on - she is also set to launch her own jewelry line which will hit shops at the end of this year. (Teen Hollywood)
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has said her recent Armani underwear campaign is the reason for her new gym regime. Victoria Beckham has admitted her recent Armani underwear campaign motivated her to start going to the gym. "I never used to go to the gym before working with Armani - but if you're going to be photographed in your bra and knickers you want to look as good as you can," Posh Spice told Hello! magazine. "I started running four to five miles every day, and focused on eating healthily. I really like having something to work towards, so I actually enjoyed the whole process. David was working out a lot as well, so we motivated each other. It was fun. I still work out every day. I drop the kids at school, and from the school I go to the gym and do the miles on the treadmill. After that I start work, and there's enough time to work before doing the school pick-up. It all works out really well. I have worked hard, and if you are going to agree to be photographed in underwear you have to put the hours in, so when you turn up on the day and take off your robe you feel confident that you can do the job. As a 35-year-old mother of three, I'm looking okay." (Handbag)
Pop star Katy Perry has admitted she wants to settle down and have a family. Katy Perry has confessed she is keen to marry and start a family. "I'm not in a rush [to get married], but last night I was thinking, ‘Is it wrong for me to want to marry soon and have that feeling?' To me, marriage isn't about bank accounts and houses; it's about finding the one you can hitch your hip to and build on each other's strengths," she told Cosmopolitan magazine before explaining how she keeps her feet on the ground. "My friends and family keep me grounded, especially my elder sister Angela, who's 26. She has a bedroom in my house in Hollywood and she travels everywhere with me to make sure I'm on time. She's the one who kicks my ass! The way she wakes me up is pretty horrible. She'll stand over my face with a glass of cold water and count to three. If I'm not up by three, she'll pour. You need ‘no' people around you, otherwise you'll end up in rehab. My sister doesn't care how many records I've sold, what I've done or what I have." (Handbag)
Paris Hilton threw a college frat-style party at her new house in Hollywood Hills on Monday night that lasted well into Tuesday morning. The heiress was celebrating her return to El Lay. She'd been on vacation with her boyfriend for a week. When the neighbors complained about the noise and called the cops, Paris' guests (or a friend of a friend of a friend) retaliated by keying and egging their cars. And her neighbors drive some freaking' expensive cars. Hilton has already been questioned by authorities. The investigation is ongoing. (Perez Hilton)
Hollywood star Brad Pitt has been accused of making drunken phone calls to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. Brad Pitt has been phoning his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, after drinking, Now magazine sources claim. Insiders say the actor is unhappy in his relationship with Angelina Jolie and has turned to Jen for help. "She was initially taken aback - especially as he sounded drunk and sorry for himself," an insider claims. "He told her he misses her and that he's sorry for any hurt caused. Jen being Jen immediately told him she'd never held a grudge against him and would welcome them being friends again, so long as she doesn't have to be friends with Angelina. He agreed. Before the call, Brad hardly ever spoke to Jen and the relationship was strained. But this phone conversation broke the ice and opened the lines of communication once more." (Handbag)
Lindsay Lohan has found herself involved in a burglary misunderstanding - because her home was so messy. Police were called to the starlet's home in LA by a security company, who discovered the burglar alarm going off. When the officers arrived, they found evidence of a potential break-in and ransacking. However, after enquiries were made, it became evident that Lindsay's home was just really messy. According to LAPD's Karen Rayner, those on the scene asked: "Is it normally like this, or did the intruders do it?" Nothing had been stolen and apparently the alarm had tripped and set itself off by accident. The actress' rep has not commented on the incident. (British Glamour)

Kiefer Sutherland, charged with assault in New York, is getting support from his cast mates on the long-running Fox TV drama 24. Sutherland got a loving hug from co-star Jon Voight and kind words from other 24 actors while at an advance screening Tuesday night of next week's season finale. "Well, it's, on so many different levels, it is like a family," Sutherland said on the arrivals line. "We've had, I think, 12 weddings on our show over the last seven years," Sutherland continued. "I think 16 children have been born. We've lost a couple people. So all of those things really pull you together." The actor is accused of head-butting a fashion designer at a New York City nightclub early last week. He was charged with third-degree assault. Reporters at the screening were asked not to bring up Sutherland's new legal troubles. No decision has been made on whether the charge will affect Sutherland's probation for a drunken-driving conviction in Los Angeles. Sutherland, 42, pleaded no contest in October 2007 to driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.08%. He served 30 days in jail, in addition to 18 days for violating probation in a 2004 drunken-driving arrest. "Kiefer is one of my best friends, and he's a great guy," said actor Carlos Bernard, an original 24 cast member who plays fed-turned-terrorist Tony Almeida. "I've been around the world with him in bars and social situations, and I've never seen anything close to this happening, He always bends over backwards to be courteous with people and to be generous with his time." "Kiefer has his own way of doing things, and he has his own energy, and he is awesome," said Mary Lynn Rajskub. "And every time I work with him, he brings that energy and that commitment." This year, 24 has explored the real-life hot-button issue of torture in the name of national security — something Sutherland's character, Jack Bauer, has frequently employed. In Monday's two-part season finale, "you see a real, monumental shift in his character," Sutherland promised. The cast is just two weeks out from starting filming of season eight. "I think, maybe, five scripts (have been finished), so I can't tell you too much," Sutherland said. "But where it's starting right now is probably the most believable scenario that I feel we've ever done before." The season finale of 24 airs 8 p.m. ET Monday on Fox, and the entire seventh season will be released on DVD the following day. (Daily Record)
Shanna Moakler just resigned as pageant director for the Miss California USA pageant -- following yesterday's excuse-filled press conference during which Donald Trump let Carrie Prejean keep her crown. Here's the statement Shanna released to Us Magazine: "Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization. I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth," she continues. "I want to be a role model for young woman [sic] with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams." (TMZ)
